M. Karunanidhi, chief minister of the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, lies in a bed during an indefinite fast in the southern Indian city of Chennai today. Karunanidhi began an indefinite fast to protest against the Sri Lankan government, after they rejected an unilateral ceasefire announced by the Tamil Tigers. However he called off his fast after it was reported that the Sri Lankan government has halted the use of heavy weapons and combat aircraft in its assault on the LTTE. REUTERS

He kept two Air Conditioners close to him.
Just lift his pillows..... and see....
There are Two " Ulundu Wada" under the pillow.
Before start fasting its reported he had following meal for breakfast.
Two Masala Dosa + Two Ulundu Wada + One Bonda + One Idly
Two Banana + One ltr. Fresh Cow milk & Two "Kalu Suruttu"
This is enough for him for ONE WEEK.
But he could not fast even ONE HOUR.
